ReNew You! Meditation Workshop
Perhaps you have tried meditation before, perhaps not - either way,
in this workshop you will be exposed to a variety of meditation techniques that can assist you to break through to a new level.
Meditation is the practice of inner focus,
quieting the distractions of the physical world,
tuning into our inner reality and experience.
Meditation is a way to experience our one-to-one relationship
with ourselves, our body, and our direct relationship with Spirit.
Anyone can learn to meditate.
It is simple and practical and does not require any physical exertion.
We practice while sitting upright in a chair.
You MUST pre-register before the day of the event.
Bring a few friends and come try something new! ***************
In this playful, comfortable, highly-interactive workshop, you can receive:
- An opportunity to learn more than 1/2 dozen meditation techniques that will assist you to center, be present, be conscious of your own space and own your life for yourself, receive and let go of energy, etc. You can use these simple practices in your daily meditation, as well as your daily life, to support your deepening consciousness, focus and creativity.
- Information about Spiritual Development, Healing & Meditation.
- ‘Aura healing’ – non-touch energy ‘tune-up’.
I used to ask $80 for this 6 hour workshop.
BUT now - I am moving to a 'gift economy' model in my ministry.
I am requesting you gift me an amount that feels good, and right, and fair to you, that you can afford, and that you can give joyfully.
I am inspired in this direction particularly by my friend Tree,
who has been functioning this way for years - very successfully...
"Better than I expected, and I expected it to be a wonderful experience.
I learned so many new techniques that I will put to use.
Wendy was personable, funny, caring and knowledgeable.
She was respectful of the various faith backgrounds represented in the room."

Welcome to Introduction to
ReNew You! Meditation Workshop
Hello!
Our Meditation Workshop is
coming soon - I am looking forward to your participation, I hope you are too!
Some folks have expressed concern with the length of the workshop. Please keep in mind:
- there are 4 hours of class, and lots of body breaks: 2 - half hour breaks, and an hour ‘meal’ break in the middle.
- this is a beginner workshop, we will not be meditating all 4 hours! We will be learning, sharing, doing exercises, and meditating. It will not be a forced march!
- if you choose to leave early, for scheduling reasons, or because you have had enough for the day, you are welcome to do so at break times, after each hour of teaching.
Potluck Food:
As I said, there are 2 breaks
and a long ‘meal’ break. We will need some sustenance - meditating is hungry
work ; )
Please bring a main dish,
salad, appetizer, dessert or some snacks. Please make it something simple, which can just sit out on the table
or in your crock pot. Also,BYO Beverage,
if want something besides water, for yourself or to share. There is
availability to make coffee and tea – if you want to make that happen, as your
potluck contribution, let me know.
Please bring serving utensil if
needed for your potluck, as well as (at least) a bowl,
spoon and cup in a bag for your meal (yes, like at Scout Camp ; ) –
this will save on waste and make clean-up easy…If you end up utilizing resources from the kitchen (or anywhere else),
please take responsibility to clean and return them.
Other things you may want to consider:
Sealed water bottle to use while in class. Meditation helps us release on an energetic level, which causes physical/emotional changes. I often detox and need to drink a lot - everyone has a different experience.
You will have time during breaks to walk around, it you want to stretch your legs and get some air. Please bring outerwear to support you in this.
Networking Table: Please bring biz cards, fliers, samples, product, etc to share about your business, charities, or fun activities in which you participate. I will set up a table or two on the side or in the back, for you to share your info. I obviously don’t want it to take any time/energy from the workshop, nor have anyone experience any hard-sell or pushing… an energy of sharing and opening opportunities for networking is beneficial.
Everyone has different temperature regulation - please wear layers to class, as you sit, it is useful to keep your temperature comfortable and nurturing for your body. I developed the habit in seminary of using a lap-blanket when I meditate – you can bring one or use your coat if needed.
This meditation may be different than what you are used to – I request that you do not cross your legs or sit on the floor. You will be sitting with your back straight and your feet on the floor. If you own a chair that you would prefer sitting in all day, bring it along.
Some folks like to add a thin cushion to their seat, and/or (particularly shorter folks) a cushion to raise their feet to a comfortable level while they are sitting - feel free to bring some cushions/pillows with you, or not.
Cash or check – I will have books and tapes available for sale, if you find you are interested. Also, I am offering this workshop by freewill donation; I am counting on your generosity!
